Scoliosis screenings grades 9 and 11
Scoliosis screening will be conducted after the New Year for students in Grades 9 & 11 during physical education classes who do not have a current physical on file in the health office. Screening will be conducted by the school nurse. This is in accordance to state and BOE policy.
A list of students requiring the screenings will be posted inside the locker rooms.
Students should be dressed appropriately – girls should wear a bathing suit top or sports bra.
Boys - shirts will need to be removed. This allows for full view of spine.
Students may opt out of the screening by bringing a parent/guardian note to the nurse at the time of the screenings.
Please contact the Health office with any questions or concerns.
